Grantham Piano Services can offer you a wide range of new, second-hand and refurbished pianos, in many different sizes, shapes, colours and price ranges. In short, we can cater for almost any requirement and budget that you may have.
A piano on its own is not the whole story, you will need something to sit on to play it, somewhere to keep your music and something to put your music on while you are playing it. We can offer you a range of quality accessories to cater for these needs, again in different prices ranges to suit your pocket.
Once you have your piano, we can offer you a range of services to support you from tuning through to polishing and refurbishment in case of damage.

Paul Gerard Upright - A straight strung piano in a nice walnut casework that would be suitable for a beginner on a budget.
Rud-Ibach-Sohn - A straight strung good quality upright
piano in a stunning burr walnut casework. This piano has been extensively
restored in the past including a full restring.
Chappell Upright - An overstrung, iron framed upright of the 1920's in a repolished satin casework
Bluthner Upright - Superb quality, German upright. Built in 1878 !
August Forster Upright - A Superb quality German upright piano built in the 1920's. A real musicians instrument that could do with some restoration. Typical smooth German tone and quality touch.

A small modern upright piano built in the 1970's in very good order throughout.
Zender Upright - .A six octave piano in
a mahogany high gloss casework. These are always popular pianos because
of their size (tiny!). In spite of their dimniuative proportions, they
still turn in a reasonable performance as far as touch and tione are
concerned.
Kemble Upright - A Mahogany satin cased six octave upright piano in superb condition throughout..
Waldstein Upright - A Cherry satin cased modern upright piano. Only 5 years old and in impeccable condition throughout. Good saving on a new one!
Alexander hermann Upright - This is a modern upright piano in a mahogany bright casework. It has had very little usage in its lifetime and really is in excellent order throughout. It would make an ideal improvers piano.
Petrof Upright - A walnut cased piano in very good condition. Very little wear on the action and nice clean stringing make it a good secondhand buy.
Steinbach
Upright - These pianos get better and
better, and represent excellent value for money. The MIA's Best Upright
piano winner and the UK's best selling upright! Available in a variety
of finishes.
J.Broadwood & Sons Grand -
This is a 5ft 2in baby grand piano in a rosewood casework which was extensively restored approx. 20 years ago.
Apollo Upright - A fine quality, second-hand Japanese piano in a black, bright casework. A fine touch and a strong bright tone. We normally have a selection of these excellent quality pianos in stock.
Eavestaff Grand - A baby grand piano made in England in the 1930's.. The piano is in a mahogany casework raised on square tapering legs.
Louis Denesle Upright - A Chinese built piano boasting a rather impressive specification and build quality. Quite superb in every way, it has a full 'Renner' German action, solid keys, Abel hammers, quality soundboard...the list goes on. What it doesn't have is a massive price tag...
Kawai K-15E Upright - A lovely little piano with a large mellow sound and the build quality that goes with this world respected piano company. Not as well known as other Japanese manufacturers, Kawai make superb quality pianos at prices that are extremely reasonable. This is the baby of their upright range.
Gebr. Perzina - We are proud to have been appointed the Sole South West dealer for this superb range of quality Chinese Upright and Grand pianos. They use 90% European components in their manufacture and are unbelievably good value for money !!
Wendl & Lung - Another superb quality Chinese upright, in this case produced in collaboration with an Austrian piano maker.
Carl Ebel Upright - A new piano of Chinese manufacture in a satin dark walnut finish. Excellent tone and touch, and great value too !
Yamaha Upright - A secondhand U1 model in a superb casework. Lovely condition throughout and a bright tone.

Perzina - Another example of this superb
range of pianos . This example is 122cms high in a mahogany bright casework
- Gorgeous ! Compare the quality of touch and tone on these pianos with
instruments costing a lot more - you won't be dissapointed.
Knight Upright - Your chance to purchase one of the last pianos made by Alfred Knights factory. This piano is in superb condition having had only light domestic use. Knights were one of the last of the best quality English pianos. This piano is in a matt mahogany casework.
W. Biese Grand - A baby grand piano made in Germany built approx.1910. The piano was extensively restored about 25 years ago which included the stringing being replaced.
Yamaha
Upright - A secondhand U3 model. This is
the prefered choice of many professionals and teachers. Always a popular
choice, and being secondhand it has a good price too!
Paul Gerard Grand - A repolished German grand piano. This piano was restrung approx. 25 years ago and has recently been french polished by ourselves.
Perzina 129cm - The top of the Perzina upright range.Thanks to its inverse crown and the floating soundboard this piano has a bass that has to be heard to be believed. Easily surpassing the depth of a baby grand piano and larger grands as well, it has the response, touch and tone that merits the title of 'upright grand'.
Kawai GM10 grand - Kawai say; 'Measuring 150cm in length, the GM-10 offers the same attention to detail and quality found in Kawai's larger pianos... in a petite size to fit any room. With it's resonant tone and classic good looks, the GM-10 will be an impressive addition to any home.' We can't argue with that!
Kawai K-2 Upright - This is a really good little piano. Superb responsiveness comes from the new Millenium 3 action which has just the right combination of weight, speed and feel.. The sound from its diminuative proportions are really excellent especially in the crucial middle area. Come and have a try and see why we make such a fuss over these pianos.
Kawai K-3 Upright - This is bigger version of the above piano standing at 121 cms. It has a tone to rival a small grand and the millenium 3 action.Superb!
Kawai K-5 Upright - Getting quite serious now! This piano has lots of power, a superb controllable touch and a beautiful mellow tone that would keep even the most discerning pianists happy for many a year.
Reid Sohn Grand 5ft 2in - A 10 year old baby grand piano in a mahogany bright casework. This piano is in superb condition and represents excellent value for money.
Gebr. Perzina Grand- A 6ft 2in boudoir grand piano in a black bright casework. The specs on this piano are really superb. Handbuilt, Renner action, Renner hammers,Austrian spruce soundboard....if you had a blindfold on you would swear you were playing a piano 3 times the price of this. We have it in stock so feel free to come and have a play.

We
are always asked for advice about which digital piano would be best for
different situations and whether digital pianos are as good as real pianos
( ! ) So we thought it would be best to stock a few so you can make up
your own minds. After much auditioning we were very impressed with the
Kawai range and so we always keep a stock on display. Please contact

Kawai CL25 - The baby of the Kawai range, but only in size ! This piano is really tiny but has a really good touch and tone.
Kawai CL30 - The next one up in the range has a more substantial speaker system and a better keyboard, whilst still retaining the small size of the CL range.
Kawai CN 2 - A new level of performance and value make this instrument one that should be at the top of your audition list. Very popular with those wishing to have a more 'piano' looking instrument in the home
Kawai ES4 - A very versatile instrument shown here with its optional stand. It can be used as a portable stage piano or a piano that can be stored when not in use. Lots of connection facilities including midi and USB for use with a computer for composition/arranging etc. Small top built in loudspeakers are ideal for quiet playing or foldback use.
Kawai CA-71 - This piano uses the advanced hammer action 1V which has a full length wooden key and has real player involvement that is rare in digital pianos, with more functions and cool stuff impossible to list in such a small space. Available in Mahogany, Rosewood and Cherry.
