About Grantham Piano Services

Grantham Piano Services was established in 1972 by Mr. Lorrie Grantham Specialising in pianos and the odd instrument repair thrown in for good measure, the business thrived. In 1986, after 50 years in the trade, Mr. Grantham decided the time had come to retire and enjoy the quiet life!

Having both completed a four year full time course in piano restoration and tuning in London and with their own business in the area, Janette and John Steuart were delighted to become the new owners of Grantham Piano Services on the 1st July 1987. Since then, they have worked hard to maintain and improve on the excellent standards of piano restoration with reliability and quality of service being paramount.

During 1990 the range of services was extended to include the sale of new pianos as well as restored instruments. On April 2008 Grantham Piano Services moved from Plymstock to it's present larger premises on Dousland Road, Yelverton, Devon. With excellent parking, their two large showrooms are full of acoustic pianos, with a further two digital showrooms, and large onsite workshop areas to cater for all aspects of piano restoration and repair.

Their clients include the Theatre Royal, Pavilions and Guildhall. Janette and John offer their customers every possible piano service including full restoration and traditional french polishing with the most helpful, experienced and knowledgeable staff in the area to assist you with all your piano requirements.
